Investigate the Investigators

I found the following letter in my mailbox as I left the school building on Friday. They love to leave letters like this on Friday afternoon or on the day before a holiday.

November 30, 2007

MS UNTAMED,

Please meet with me on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 7:45 AM in the principal's office regarding an allegation of verbal abuse.

You may be accompannied, at your option, by the UFT chapter leader, or his designated alternate, as this meeting may lead to disciplinary action.

Sincerely,
Assistant Principal Z

I'm fine with any investigation with regard to anything I may have said to any student.

I also want investigations.

I want the President and Vice President of the the United States investigated for possible High Crimes against this this country and its citizens and against the Nation of Iraq and its citizens.

I want Mayor Bloomberg and Chancellor Klein investigated for possible civil and human rights violations.

I want every Principal in the city to be investigated regarding emotional and psychological abuse of teachers during the Bloomberg administration.

So let the investigations begin!

Read the following decision of the Commissioner of Education:

http://www.counsel.nysed.gov/Decisions/volume35/d13589.htm

Then read the court's decision in Board of Education v. Mills (680 NYS2d 683).

The case was reported in New York Teacher in the late 1990s.

I went to the website you suggested, but volume 35 has quite a few decisions: 13,444 to 13,631. Could you be more specific?
Thanks

The URL got truncated! Sorry! It's decision 13,589 involving Andre Cadet.

Your principal is waging pyschological warfare. Keep your cool. If they had "something" on you you wouldn't be in the building. Try to get the word to the parents that if they reassigned you their kids would have a day to day sub that couldn't teach the subject!

When having disciplinary conferences with an administrator, it is very helpful to come armed with copies of judicial decisions, Commissioner of Education decisions, and Public Employment Relations Board decisions.

If you are having any significant disagreements with your administration, you could always make the suggestion, "Why don't we let the Courts/Commissioner/PERB decide?"
