Spanish People Will Rally Against Euro-Pact On June 19

El 15 de mayo empezó todo
It all began on May 15th

Salimos a la calle para reclamar una democracia real
We took to the streets to demand true democracy

Para gritar que no somos mercancía en manos de políticos y banqueros
To shout that we are not merchandise in the hands of politicians and bankers

Ese día prendimos la llama
That day we lit the flame

Y no queremos que esa llama se apague
And we will not let it burn out

Esta revolución pacífica continúa
The peaceful revolution continues

Seguiremos hasta que nos escuchen
We will go on until we are heard

Junto con las acampadas de los indignados
Together with the encampments of the Indignants

Volveremos a tomar las calles, ahora contra el pacto del euro
We will again take to the streets against the euro-pact

Porque no queremos que hipotequen nuestro futuro
Because we don't want our future mortgaged

Porque no queremos pagar una deuda ilegitima
Because we don't want to pay an illegitimate debt

No más recortes en nuestra sanidad
No more cuts to our health care

No más recortes en educación
No more cuts to our education

No más destrucción de los derechos de los trabajadores
No more destruction of workers' rights

Por una jubilación digna
We want retirement with dignity

Por unos salarios dignos
We want decent salaries

Exigimos que la crisis la pague quien la creo
We demand that the crisis be paid by those who created it.

Exigimos que se gobierne para el pueblo y no contra el pueblo
We demand government for the people, not against the people

Y por mucho que intenten impedirlo
However much they try to stop us

Por mucho que quieran callarnos
However much they try to shut us up

Su violencia es nuestra convicción
Their violence is our conviction
