During a Faculty Conference Assistant Principal Roy Zippo states that no students are to be allowed to go to the bathroom periods 1 and 8 unless its an emergency. I ask a question about allowing student with bathroom emergencies to leave without a pass. Principal P tells me to stop interrupting the Faculty Conference.(See Post February 22, 2009 "Bathroom Emergencies)

I explain “Bathroom Rule” to students. They may leave without a pass if they have an emergency, but if they abuse this privilege, or if I think they are sick, I will notify their parents. We discuss various illness that could make a person need to go to the bathroom more often: diabetes, bladder and kidney problems.

3. Three boys from class 7H have a bathroom emergency at the same time during eighth period . I allow them to leave without a pass and make a note on the section sheet.

In a letter dated Sept. 12. Mr. Zippo makes the following conclusion “…you demonstrated unprofessional conduct by interrupting the staff presentation at the meeting. Your actions set a poor example of behavior and decorum for others.” (See Post February 22, 2009 "Bathroom Emergencies".

Students from class 7H write statements alleging that on September 11, 2008 while 3 boys were out of classroom due to Bathroom Emergency I made fun of them and said they had a bladder control problem.
In my absence, someone starts a rumor that I have been fired for saying that a student has a bladder control problem.

Four boys in class 7B call MADELENE BENDERS a cow. MADELENE comes up after class and tells me that they are talking about parts of her body, specifically her breasts. The boys are SILAS PAJECO, HOWARD MAHAN, JAREL LANSIN, and ALAN PLEET. I give out detention notices for all four boys for Friday, October 24.

JAREL tell me that MADELENE has also insulted them by calling them gay. SILAS PAJECO threatens to get me fired by accusing me of doing "something" and then having his friends back him up. "Nobody will believe you".

Clearly you are being barraged by false and frivolous allegations. This will backfire on them if you are heading to a 3020a.
The frequency and range of the wild accusations will raise questions in the mind of any arbitrator should this go to a 3020a.
They might try the medical route and attempt to portray you as unbalanced. Or prone to verbal and physical outbursts. You will know what to say to any BOE MD. This attempt will fail.
Misconduct is a quicker route for your principal than pedagogical judgment when it comes to moving you from the school. Remember, if they do move you out, you are leaving a toxic environment.
If it is any consolation I have been here in the elementary school library working on the world's greatest curriculum (it better be it's been 1.5 years). On Long Island there are no official rubber rooms and we can be directed to write curriculum and that is about it since the work has to be within our tenure area.
My district has essentially given up on my case but I refuse to settle so I am in limbo.
Perhaps you can bring a laptop to work and type out your blog entries at work and merely cut and paste them to your blog when you go home.

Doesn't this make you want a video camera in the classroom? I blogged about wanting a Nanny Cam so that when kids and parents make these kinds of wild accusations, I can just hit "rewind" and "play"!!!
This is also my biggest pet peeve about NCLB: where is the parent accountability? Why do our students think it is okay to act this way? They had to learn it somewhere, like AT HOME. Why should our health or career be ruined because bad parents can't control their obnoxious offspring?!?
